Tesamorelin is an FDA-approved, injectable growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog prescribed to reduce excess visceral abdominal fat.

It is a synthetic polypeptide analog of endogenous GHRH. It signals the pituitary gland to increase growth hormone production, which directly reduces visceral adipose tissue (deep belly fat) and hepatic fat (liver fat).

It is administered via a small, daily subcutaneous (under the skin) injection, typically into the fatty tissue of the stomach area once daily for 5 days followed by 2 days off and repeat.
